Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, has been named the “World’s Most Sustainable Company 2026” by TIME Magazine and Statista for the third consecutive year.
The recognition, drawn from a ranking of 5,000 of the world's largest and most influential companies, reflects Schneider Electric’s long-standing commitment to making sustainability an integral part of its business strategy, governance, and performance, the company said.
Driven by its vision of advancing energy technology to power progress for all, Schneider Electric leverages its leadership in electrification, efficiency, and digitalisation to deliver impact at scale.
“Being recognised by TIME and Statista for the third year in a row is an honor”, said Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric. “As energy becomes increasingly central to growth, competitiveness, and progress, the need to use it more intelligently continues to grow. We believe energy intelligence is a key enabler of both efficiency and decarbonization, helping our customers create lasting value while reducing emissions. That belief has shaped Schneider Electric for many years and continues to guide how we innovate, operate, and advance energy technology.”
“This global recognition carries a real meaning for our region, especially given the work taking place on the ground across the Gulf. Every day, our customers, partners, and teams are electrifying, automating, and using energy more efficiently as they progress toward their national net zero ambitions. What matters most to us is the impact people can feel here, in the UAE and across the region, and the local talent we are building for the energy future ahead.” said Amel Chadli, President, Gulf Cluster, Schneider Electric
This year’s distinction is particularly significant, as Schneider Electric recently launched its new sustainability roadmap, Impact 2030. Designed around four strategic pillars, electrifying the world, reinventing the industry, unlocking human potential, and empowering local communities, the Group tracks its performance quarterly through measurable indicators, ensuring accountability at every level.
In the first quarter of the year, Schneider Electric reported a reduction of its Scopes 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions 82.5% compared with 2017 baseline, strengthening resilience across Schneider Electric's own operations. Schneider Electric also reported:
* 47.5 million MWh of energy saved or electrified for customers in Q1, directly reinforcing resilience and efficiency
* 20 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved and avoided this quarter alone
* The Group also continued to deploy its new future designed framework, with 14% of major offers in the design phase already demonstrating circular and environmental excellence.
Through Impact 2030, Schneider Electric also further strengthens its approach to engaging its ecosystem, recognizing that progress can only scale when partners move forward together. -TradeArabia News Service
