Sabic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CEER, Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle (EV) brand and original equipment manufacturer, to explore collaboration opportunities in advanced materials and solutions for EV development and manufacturing.

The agreement aims to evaluate the use of Sabic’s innovative materials in CEER vehicle applications, while jointly developing material and processing solutions to meet industry requirements. It also includes knowledge sharing in sustainability and technology, as well as exploring strategic sourcing opportunities to support a locally developed EV supply chain aligned with global standards.

The MoU was signed at Sabic’s headquarters in Riyadh, with Sabic CEO and Executive Board Member Dr Faisal Alfaqeer and CEER CEO James DeLuca attending the ceremony.

The companies said the partnership could help advance Saudi Arabia’s emerging electric vehicle sector by combining Sabic’s materials expertise with CEER’s vehicle development capabilities.
