Saudi-based Arabian Internet and Communications Services Company (solutions) has signed a SAR364 million ($97.1 million) contract with Digital Data Centers for Data and Telecommunications Company (Center3) for the establishment and construction of  data centres in Dammam.

The 18-month contract covers the establishment, construction and preparation of the DDC307 data centre and includes mobilisation, engineering, construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, as well as testing, commissioning and handover, said Arabian Internet and Communications Services in its Saudi bourse filing.

The financial impact of the contract is expected to start appearing in solutions' financial statements from Q1 2027, it stated.

Center3 is a related party to solutions. Saudi Telecom Co (stc), the largest shareholder in solutions with a 79% stake, owns 100% of Center3.

The project will be delivered in four main construction stages covering site preparation, foundations, superstructure and finishing, alongside the supply and integration of technical systems, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
