Deep Well Services (DWS) has completed its first major project in the UAE, delivering an 11-well unconventional campaign in Abu Dhabi 43 per cent ahead of schedule and saving 33 operational days.
The achievement highlights the potential of advanced
completion technologies and real-time operational intelligence to accelerate
execution, improve efficiency and enhance field performance.
The campaign was completed in 44 days, compared with a
planned duration of 77 days, marking a milestone for DWS and its first
large-scale deployment in the region.
The company said the result demonstrates its ability to
deploy proven technologies at scale while delivering measurable operational
improvements.
DWS is part of Enersol, the Abu Dhabi-based energy
technology investment platform and joint venture between Adnoc Drilling and
Alpha Dhabi Holding.
Enersol focuses on acquiring, deploying and scaling advanced
technologies across the energy sector, with its portfolio companies providing
solutions aimed at improving efficiency, performance and value creation
throughout the energy lifecycle.
The UAE campaign used DWS’ patented Hydraulic Completion
Unit (HCU) technology alongside its BoreSite data acquisition and analytics
platform.
BoreSite provides real-time operational visibility,
data-driven decision support and performance optimisation throughout completion
operations.
The combined technologies supported faster execution,
improved efficiency and consistent performance across the 11 wells.
Dean Watson, Chief Executive Officer of Enersol, said:
"Results like these are exactly why Enersol exists. Completing an 11-well
campaign 43 per cent ahead of plan is not simply an operational achievement; it
is proof of how advanced technology can transform performance in the field.”
Watson added: “Saving 33 operational days demonstrates the
value created when intelligence, automation and operational expertise come
together. This milestone validates our strategy of investing in technologies
that solve real industry challenges and deliver measurable outcomes for
customers. Technology only matters when it creates value, and this campaign
shows innovation delivering meaningful impact where it matters most, in the
field.”
The campaign follows DWS’ successful completion of its first
UAE well earlier this year.
The latest project provides further evidence of the
potential for advanced completion technologies to support increasingly complex
unconventional well programmes across the region.
Mark Marmo, Chief Executive Officer of Deep Well Services,
said: “This achievement validates years of investment in technology, innovation
and execution excellence. Entering a new market and delivering an 11-well
campaign substantially ahead of plan demonstrates the strength of our
technology, the expertise of our people and our ability to execute at the
highest level."
Marmo added: "Our Hydraulic Completion Unit technology and the BoreSite data acquisition and analytics platform were developed with one goal in mind: helping operators achieve better outcomes. This campaign demonstrates how real-time intelligence, automation and disciplined execution can significantly reduce operational time while maintaining performance, reliability and operational consistency. We are proud to have achieved this milestone in Abu Dhabi and excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue expanding across the region." -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
