Ericsson has announced that it has collaborated with Saudi telecom group Mobily on a skills development programme aimed at helping Saudi youth build digital, professional and leadership skills and better understand career opportunities in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

The program brings together interactive learning sessions led by Ericsson and Mobily experts, combining practical learning with mentoring and career guidance to enrich participants’ experiences and enhance their readiness for future career pathways.

It covers a range of areas, including career development and employability, artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, leadership, communication, and problem-solving, said Ericsson in a statement. 

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about ICT career opportunities and pathways through engagement with professionals from both companies, it stated.

Mohammed Al Shammari, the Chief Human Recourse Officer at Mobily, said: "We believe that building a sustainable digital future starts with investing in promising national talent and empowering them to play an active role in shaping this future. Ericsson said along with Mobily it will jointly design and deliver the programme, with speakers and subject matter experts from both companies, bringing together practical knowledge and experience.

The collaboration reflects Ericsson and Mobily’s commitment to continued joint efforts and knowledge sharing, enriching participants’ experiences, expanding opportunities for interaction and learning, and strengthening their engagement with specialized expertise in the ICT sector, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
