Mediclinic Middle East, one of the leading private healthcare providers in the UAE with the majority of its operations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is set to invest AED420 million ($114 million) in the expansion of Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai.

Following the expansion, Mediclinic will be able to boost the hospital's capacity mainly for specialised services, including oncology, paediatrics, musculoskeletal care, sports medicine and physiotherapy, while adding day-surgery theatres and day-care facilities.

The project will also include a dedicated paediatric urgent care unit and expanded oncology facilities, as well as infrastructure to support future developments in cancer treatment.

Mediclinic said the expansion would also strengthen the hospital's digital and operational capabilities through automation and smart technologies aimed at improving the integration and efficiency of clinical services.

Dr. Alawi AlSheikh Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, said investment in the development of specialised hospitals and health centres reflects the evolution of the emirate's healthcare sector towards more specialised and integrated services, and strengthens the system's ability to deliver advanced care close to the community, in line with the highest standards of quality and safety.
