Fulkrum has secured an inspection services contract from Vår Energi, Norway’s largest independent oil and gas operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), strengthening the company’s presence in the country’s offshore energy market.
The contract covers inspection services across Vår Energi’s
project portfolio, supporting quality assurance, operational integrity and
efficient project execution.
Under the framework agreement, Fulkrum is currently
providing inspection and testing services for three subsea developments in the
Gjøa area: Ophelia, Gjøa Nord and Cerisa.
The work includes inspections of equipment and systems both
offshore and at onshore testing facilities, supporting the safe and efficient
delivery of complex subsea projects.
Vår Energi is among Norway’s largest gas exporters to Europe
and holds equity interests in around half of the producing assets on the NCS.
With approximately 1,450 employees, the company places a
strong focus on quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
Fulkrum’s technical expertise will support Vår Energi’s
commitment to becoming the safest operator through initiatives focused on
hazard identification, risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance and
continuous improvement.
James Dunsford, Senior Key Account Manager at Fulkrum, said:
“This award represents an important step in further establishing Fulkrum’s
position within the Norwegian offshore market. Our subsea inspection teams
bring extensive technical expertise, operational flexibility, and a strong
commitment to quality and safety, enabling us to support critical offshore
developments with confidence. The work already underway on the Ophelia, Gjøa
Nord and Cerisa developments demonstrates Fulkrum’s ability to mobilise experienced
inspection personnel globally while maintaining the highest standards of
quality, safety, and responsiveness for our clients.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
