Lamprell, a leading provider of engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracting services to the energy sector, has announced that it has been awarded a contract as part of a consortium with Indian construction and engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for a major offshore EPCI project in the UAE.
A major player in the regional energy sector, Lamprell boasts primary facilities in Hamriyah and Jebel Ali in UAE, as well as business support offices in India and Saudi Arabia.
The scope of work includes the development of multiple offshore facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure, said the statement.
As part of the consortium, Lamprell will deliver the EPCI scope for the subsea pipeline, strengthening its position as a trusted offshore EPCI contractor in the region, it stated.
On the contract win, CEO Ian Prescott said: "We are pleased to be working in consortium with L&T to deliver this important project. Securing a project of this scale in the UAE, where Lamprell has been operating for 50 years, is particularly meaningful as we celebrate our jubilee year."
"With world-class facilities, a highly experienced workforce and five decades of project delivery across the region, we are well positioned to support the successful execution of this important development. This award is another significant milestone in what has been a landmark year for Lamprell," he added.
