Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), operator of Bahrain International Airport, have concluded a series of youth development and workforce readiness programmes aimed at supporting Bahraini talent and preparing young people for careers in aviation and the wider economy.

The initiatives provided students with practical experience, industry exposure and insights into professional working environments.

The Summer Internship Programme gave 135 university students two months of hands-on experience, allowing them to apply academic knowledge and gain practical exposure to different areas of the aviation sector as part of their graduation requirements.

The second edition of the FLY Summer Internship Programme also concluded, bringing together 39 Bahraini school students for a two-week programme featuring workshops, training sessions and site visits focused on aviation operations and career opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Social Work Programme provided 60 participants with workplace exposure and opportunities to develop skills supporting their future education and careers.

In partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, Gulf Air also launched the I CAMP Programme, a summer initiative designed to promote creativity, learning, innovation and career exploration among young Bahraini participants.
