Kuwait Airways welcomed around 30 children aged 9 to 12 participating in the “Future Engineer 3” workshop, held as part of the 18th Summer Cultural Festival organised by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.

The visit included a field trip to Kuwait Airways’ Engineering Department, where participants toured the aircraft hangar and were introduced to the technical and engineering aspects of aviation.

Accompanied by engineers and supervisors, the children received age-appropriate explanations about aircraft maintenance, safety procedures and the responsibilities of aviation engineers.

The programme also provided an insight into daily operations within the airline’s engineering environment.

Kuwait Airways said the initiative forms part of its corporate social responsibility efforts and reflects its support for educational and cultural programmes aimed at developing young people’s skills and encouraging interest in science, engineering and aviation.

The national carrier said such initiatives are designed to promote learning, exploration and innovation from an early age while familiarising children with professional aviation environments.

Kuwait Airways reaffirmed its commitment to supporting programmes that contribute to developing a future generation equipped with skills for the evolving workplace and strengthening its role in serving the Kuwaiti community. -TradeArabia News Service
