Emirates Post launches dedicated desk for DMCC

DUBAI, October 22, 2018

Emirates Post has launched a new dedicated desk for Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) member companies.

The post boxes will cater to all DMCC companies based in the free zone, located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), and serve over 100,000 people across 15,000 companies, said a statement.

In addition to Corporate PO Boxes, Emirates Post will also offer DMCC member companies added benefits at its branch in Almas Tower, it said.

Benefits will include domestic and international postal services for all documents as well as convenient payment options for utility bills (including Dewa, Sewa, Fewa, Du and Etisalat). In addition, customers can also make payments to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Police, all over-the-counter, it added.

Emirates Post is also offering DMCC member companies access to flight booking and payment options at the service counter at Jumeirah Lake Towers, which enables customers to alter bookings, make payments and issue tickets for Air Arabia and FlyDubai.

Obaid Al Qatami, acting chief commercial at Emirates Post, said: “The launch of the Emirates Post Corporate PO Boxes further highlights our commitment to meeting the demands of customers through best-in-class products and services.”

“We are pleased to be launching this brand-new service in partnership with DMCC and we are certain this initiative will support the business community in the heart of Dubai,” he added.

Krysta Fox, executive director, free zone, DMCC, said: “We are delighted to open an exclusive DMCC member desk with Emirates Post that will provide companies in our free zone with effective and easier solutions to conduct business on a day-to-day basis.”

“Launching the dedicated desk in Almas Tower itself will further integrate government services within DMCC,” he added.

The official agreement between the companies was signed by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman, DMCC, and Abdulla Mohammad Alashram, acting group chief executive officer of Emirates Post Group during a meeting at the DMCC headquarters in Almas Tower in May this year.

The partnership with DMCC aims to create a unique service for all companies operating in the free zone. The service counter is based on the first floor at Almas Tower, in addition to the development of a bespoke digital portal that enables DMCC members to process applications for a PO Box online.

Companies in the DMCC can apply for a dedicated PO Box which will help both privacy and security of their postal goods. Emirates Post is also providing a 10 per cent discount to DMCC employees and members towards their services such as domestic express, international premium and international express deliveries, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
