Åkerströms wins another mining contract in Chile

STOCKHOLM, December 20, 2018

Sweden-based Åkerströms Björbo AB, a leading company which develops, produces, markets and serves robust products for radio control of industrial and mobile applications, has won another major Chilean radio control order for delivery to the mining industry.

The remote controls will be used for crane control in one of the world's largest copper mines, Collahuasi in Atacama, Chile, said a statement from the company.

The order is worth SEK1 million ($111,304.7) and goes through Åkerströms' distributor in Chile.

Anna Stiwne, vice president of sales, Åkerströms, said: “This order is another strong proof that our customers have great confidence in us as a provider of robust radio control systems.”
