Snowden 'to reveal new secrets on Arab leaders'

Moscow, April 30, 2014

Edward Snowden, former US intelligence operative Edward Snowden, is likley to reveal new secrets related to Arab dictators, an Al-Arab Al-Yawm website report has been quoted as saying.

Sources close to Snowden's Arabic translation team revealed that the upcoming leaks will have to do with what Arab rulers used to tell Americans behind closed doors and agreements with the CIA, Middle East Monitor said citing the Al-Arab Al-Yawm report.

"The Arabic part will trigger a tsunami in the Arab world," the website claimed. It will also include leaks on Syria, Palestine and Turkey, it added.

Snowden, a former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor, caused international uproar last June when he disclosed details of the extent of surveillance and electronic intelligence gathering by his former employers.

Snowden fled the United States where he faces espionage charges and has since been granted temporary asylum in Russia.
