First Motors website wins W3 Silver award

MANAMA, November 27, 2015

First Motors, the exclusive dealer of Hyundai vehicles in Bahrain, has won the W3 Silver Award for its website design, after having been judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

It honours creative excellence on the web and recognises the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programmes, said a statement.

Bibhudendu Pattanaik, head of marketing, said: "This is a huge honour for us at First Motors, to have won this prestigious award, as it was part of our main aim to ensure that our website is extremely user friendly and informative, which hence makes it a lot easier to access.

“It feels great to have been chosen as a winner along with reputed international companies across the United States and Canada. Through this gain, we aspire to reach out to a wider audience who will be able to access our website through a click of a button on any of their gadgets."

"The distinguishing feature that set our website apart from other contestants was a unique concept of Responsive Web Design, whereby companies can expand their outreach throughout mobile audiences while managing a single website,” said Pattanaik.

“Since there has been a distinct audience shift towards mobile browsing, a seamless user experience can be ensured for an individual, through a wide range of Internet accessible devices ranging from desktop computers to mobile phones and tablets,” he said.

In honouring the best of the web, the W3 Awards is the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms and everyone in between.

Small firms are as likely to win the award as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. - TradeArabia News Service
