Saudi Arabia has taken another step forward in preparing for Expo 2030 Riyadh, awarding two key utilities and infrastructure works packages to Al Yamama Company as the kingdom ramps up on-ground delivery for the global event.
The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Expo 2030 Riyadh signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in promoting Saudi tourism and attracting visitors to Expo 2030 Riyadh.
Saudi Energy, a leading electricity producer in the kingdom, has invited bids for a key power infrastructure project as part of Expo 2030 Riyadh development. The scope of work includes setting up of three 132/13.8kV substations along with other work linked to its integration with the national electricity grid.
With the early award of a critical infrastructure contracts to Nesma & Partners and the mobilisation of global giants Bechtel and Buro Happold, the Expo 2030 Riyadh project is now accelerating toward its October 2030 opening. Work on the mega event's country pavilions is likely to begin in the third quarter, said media reports.
Saudi Real Estate Company (Al Akaria) has signed a framework agreement for the smooth implementation of early works for the mega Expo 2030 Riyadh project in the Saudi capital. The contract was awarded to one of its key subsidiaries Binyah.
