LODD Autonomous has conducted the first test flight of Hili, a hybrid heavy-lift cargo aircraft designed, built and manufactured entirely in Abu Dhabi, during an event held at the company’s flight testing facility at Emirates Falcons Aviation in Al Ain Region, as part of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week.
UAE-based LODD Autonomous plans to conduct 'the world’s first cross-border autonomous drone test flight for a civilian operation' next year, said its top official. During the pilot testing, its HILI hybrid vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft will fly from the UAE for a neighbouring country.
