Novo Nordisk has announced that 40.4% of obese children treated with semaglutide were no longer classified as having obesity at week 68, compared with none of those treated with placebo.
The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) has approved Wegovy (semaglutide), an oral once-daily treatment indicated for long-term weight management in adults living with obesity or overweight associated with weight-related medical conditions.
Novo Nordisk today announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the Wegovy pill (once-daily oral semaglutide 25 mg) to reduce excess body weight and maintain weight reduction long term and to reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events.
