During the nine-day Spring Festival holiday, China’s tourism surged, with 596 million domestic trips—95 million more than 2025—and spending reaching 803.5 billion yuan ($116.7 billion), up 126.5 billion yuan from last year.
China has recorded more than 3.5 billion passenger trips during the first 15 days of this year’s Spring Festival travel rush, which began on 2nd February, according to data released by the Ministry of Transport.
