DP World has acquired 700 trucks to expand its road freight network in the GCC, providing customers greater certainty, reliability and efficiency when moving cargo across the region.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded a contract for the development of three integrated truck rest areas in partnership with the private sector. The facilities span a total area of over 210,000 sq m, with a combined capacity for 490 trucks and heavy vehicles.
Saudi Arabia's Transport General Authority said it has mobilised a fleet of over 500,000 trucks to ensure uninterrupted freight movement and supply chain continuity across the country and the wider Gulf region, with the land transport system serving as a vital link between ports, airports and logistics zones.
