Qatar's Tasweeq sold about 200,000 tonnes of naphtha for November loading to several buyers including Vitol and Itochu, at $15.00-$16.00 a tonne above Middle East quotes on a free-on-board (FOB) basis, traders said on Friday.
Middle East producers sold around 650,000 tonnes of naphtha for October loading, the highest volumes in at least a year and weighing down sentiment, traders said. But exports for November are expected to be lower, they said.
The high spot
About 300,000 tonnes of Middle Eastern and Suez naphtha cargoes have either been fixed, or provisionally booked for a rare move to the West to help ease the high stockpiles in Asia, traders said on Thursday.
