Rasmala makes key appointments

Dubai, September 30, 2009

Rasmala Investment Bank Limited (Rasmala) has announced the appointment of Husam Kutaifan as head of corporate finance and Michael Kidd as head of Private Equity.

Prior to joining Rasmala, Kutaifan served as the head of mergers and acquisitions at Samba Capital in Saudi Arabia, said a Rasmala statement.

He also served as the head of corporate finance in Atlas Investment Group. He holds an MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University and is also a CFA Charterholder.

Kidd joins Rasmala from Intaj, a Mena focused mid-cap private equity fund. Prior to that, he was executive director at CIBC Capital Partners in London focusing on mid-cap private equity.

Kidd also worked at McKinsey & Co in the US. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard University.

Tamer Bazzari, CEO of Rasmala, commented on the new appointments “I welcome both Husam and Michael to the Rasmala team and look forward to their contributions. Today, I believe Rasmala has put in place one of the best investment banking management teams in the region.”
