Foreign firms 'keen to invest in Bahrain'

Several overseas companies are keen to invest in the local market, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry first deputy chairman Othman Al Rayes said yesterday.
"A large number of investors' applications have been received by the Industry and Commerce Ministry and the Economic Development Board," he said in a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Speaking on the sidelines of a conference on real estate investments, Al Rayes said the new applications are the fruits of visits of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to several Asian and European countries. - TradeArabia News Service
