Strategy& appoints new head of Financial Services

Strategy& (Formerly Booz & Company), a global management consulting arm of assurance and management consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, has appointed Tony Raphael as its new head of the Financial Services practice in the Mena region.

Raphael is re-joining the firm after having been a member of the financial services practice between 2001 and 2008, said a company statement.

Raphael was most recently the CEO of Arab Bank (Switzerland) based in Geneva. He sat on the board of a number of investment funds based in the UK, Guernsey and the Netherlands. Before that he was the special advisor to the chairman of Arab Bank and a board member of Arab Bank (Switzerland) – leading strategic transformation programs at both banks. He also held senior positions in leading financial institutions such as CIBC and Citigroup, it added.

With over 30 years of experience, Raphael has in-depth knowledge and expertise in the financial services industry. He has led work in banking, capital markets, and insurance, dealing with clients and transactions in the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
