Bahrain Works Ministry signs key deal with French firm

MANAMA, June 9, 2015

Bahrain’s Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Expertise France.

The ministry will be partnering with Expertise France, a French international technical expertise agency that is the product of the merger of six public agencies, to bolster international business in the field of public technical expertise, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Essam Khalaf signed the MoU along with Urban Planning Directorate structural planning director Khalid Al Ansari and French Ambassador Bernard Regnauld-Fabre and a number of officials from Expertise France.

The minister urged to work further with France to provide technical assistance to implement the Bahrain-French Town Planning Initiative and improve infrastructure in Bahrain.

Bahrain is planning to expand its towns using Expertise France and plans to attract “mega French companies as part of long-term agreements aiming to ensure efficient urban planning and implementation”. - TradeArabia News Service
