Saudi Arabia's imports dropped 5.1 per cent in May compared with a year earlier, while non-oil exports were down 16.7 per cent, data from the Central Department of Statistics and Information showed on Saturday.

The non-oil exports traditionally account for around 12 per cent of the overall exports of Saudi Arabia.
