Abu Dhabi, April 5, 2008
United Group Holdings will develop a Dh500 million ($136 million) hotel in Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Southern Sun group.
Set to become the prominent hotel for business travelers and vacationers, the 30 storey, 4 stars deluxe Eva Hotel is currently under development and will be opened in September 2010.
The hotel will have 417 modern rooms, including 63 deluxe furnished apartments as well as a spa, swimming pool, conference and meeting rooms and modern stylish business centre, said a company official.
'Eva Hotel will feature an innovative and modern glass-fronted exterior. The style and decor of the hotel will be modern Arabesque with tasteful and elegant furnishings. Eva being an old English word meaning ‘life’ perfectly reflects the vibrant and modern ambiance that the hotel desires to achieve,' he said.
Eva Hotel is located in Mina Street Abu Dhabi which is a buzz with bistros, restaurants, shopping areas, corniche, fish market, port, traditional local souks, gold souks and antique shops in Abu Dhabi’s upcoming and trendiest area.
'The prime location allows access to all parts of Abu Dhabi via buses, taxis and the UAE traditional tourist ferry within walking distance. If shopping is your desire, then spoil yourself at the nearby shopping malls or designer boutiques,' the official explained.
United Group Holdings has appointed Southern Sun Hotels to take on the full operations of the Eva Hotel, which will be Southern Sun’s second venture in Abu Dhabi after Sun Square Desert Towers at Bin Zayed City.
Eva Hotel will follow on from the successful launches of Southern Sun’s Al Manzil and Qamardeen hotels, which opened early last year in Dubai’s Old Town.-TradeArabia News Service
