Al Hanoo Holding has awarded a Dh41 million ($11 million) contract to Al Sharjah Contracting Company for completion of surfacing of roads surrounding the massive Emirates Industrial City (EIC) project in Sharjah.

Being developed by the Al Hanoo group, Emirates Industrial City, is a first-of-its-kind model industrial city in Sharjah strategically located adjacent to Al Saja’a – Al Khawaneej Road on a massive area of over 83,000,000 sq ft.

With direct access to important free zone areas, highways, air and seaports, and import-export corridors, the Emirates Industrial City is unique in its own ways.

According to Sheik Abdullah bin Fahid Al Shakrah, chairman of Al Hanoo Holding and EIC, the road network surrounding the project has been carefully designed and studied by engineering officers specialized in traffic planning.

The final designs were certified with the collaboration of the related authorities to ensure easy mobility, traffic safety, and easy flow inside and around the project, he noted.

Al Shakrah said Al Hanoo was committed to building a state-of-the-art road network featuring easy mobility both inside and outside the project, an important element for many investors.

"The planning and distribution of areas within the project serves as a balance between those spaces specified for sale purposes and roads in the project," he observed.

He said the contract was awarded to Al Sharjah Contracting Company due to the company's vast experience and precision in completing similar projects in the past.-TradeArabia News Service
