Mapei appoints Dubai reseller

Dubai, August 16, 2010

Mapei, a leading manufacturer of chemical products for buildings, recently appointed Mohammed Al Qama Building Materials Trading, a top importer of construction materials, as its authorised reseller in Dubai.

Mapei seeks to leverage Mohammed Al Qama’s market presence and dedicated showrooms to further consolidate Mapei's presence and strengthen its customer base in the UAE, a statement said.

Mohammed Al Qama Building Materials Trading has four retail showrooms – two in Al Quoz, one in Jebel Ali and one in Satwa – all with stores attached to them, while the company also has a central warehouse in Al Quoz Industrial 3.

“It has been our vision to strengthen our presence across all markets segments in the country and we believe that the combined market network and experience of Mohammed Al Qama Building Materials Trading will enhance our competitive advantage and complement our own growth initiatives,” said Laith Haboubi, business development director, Mapei.

Mohd. Rasheed, managing director, Mohammed Al Qama Building Materials Trading, said: "We were very impressed by Mapei's range of products, while their emphasis on quality came across very strongly to us. We checked the market among end-users and got a positive feedback so we decided to approach Mapei for dealership.”

“It has always been our strategy to look for high-quality yet affordable products and Mapei perfectly fits this category.”

“Also, we believe that Mapei has a very strong potential among small end-users like tile layers and masons, who can benefit in terms of cost and quality by using Mapei. Moreover, it is truly a big boost to our brand equity to be associated with a prestigious brand like Mapei, Rasheed concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
