Dubai Wharf work to finish by Q1 2017

DUBAI, November 2, 2014

The Dubai Wharf project has completed 6.53 per cent of construction, including the enabling and substructure works, and is set to be completed in the first quarter (Q1) of 2017, a report said.

Dubai Properties (DP), the real estate unit of Dubai Holding, has appointed the Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) as the lead contractor for the Dh800 million ($218 million) Dubai Wharf project, added the Emirates 24/7 report.

"We are going to commence construction this month and are fully committed to ensuring the project is ready for occupation by early 2017,” Khodr Aldah, general director of ECC, was quoted as saying in the report.

Dubai Wharf's four towers will feature 582 residential units, 150 retail and dining units, as well as 2,080 car parking spaces, according to the report.
