The Palm Gateway ..... a luxury beachfront offering from Nakheel.

Nakheel invites bids for Dubai waterfront complex

DUBAI, December 2, 2014

Nakheel, a leading real estate developer in Dubai, has invited bids for the construction of The Palm Gateway, a three-tower waterfront living and leisure complex located at the entrance to the Palm Jumeirah in the UAE emirate.

The towers will be constructed on the existing Palm Monorail Gateway terminal on Al Sufouh Road, which comprises a basement and 14 floors.

The roof of this terminal will be transformed into a 15th floor podium with an infinity pool, shops and sports facilities set in extensively landscaped grounds. The monorail is linked to the Dubai Tram and the Dubai Metro, offering convenient travel for residents and visitors at The Palm Gateway, said a statement from Nakheel.

Comprising a total built-up area of 506,818 sq m including the podium and beachfront, the project will feature more than 1,313 apartments and duplexes with one, two and three bedrooms, 4,000 car-parking spaces, a beach club, retail, dining and health and fitness facilities.

The scope of work on the all-inclusive construction package consists of structural works, building services, façade, finishes, landscaping, civil and interior design works. It also includes design and build of the chiller plant, and modifications and alterations to the existing podium structure, it stated.

The three individually designed high-rise residential towers will comprise 61, 49 and 48 floors, respectively, with the tallest of the structures standing at a height of 260 m.

The Palm Gateway will also have its own beach club and park – a shaded, landscaped complex with a diverse range of waterfront dining and shopping options, pool, barbecue areas and fitness facilities, including a jogging track.

Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah, said: “The project combines luxury beachfront living, exciting shopping, dining and entertainment and some of the best sea and city views in the Middle East, and promotes sustainability, with its extensive health, well-being and fitness facilities and convenient transport links for travel within the surrounding areas and across Dubai.”

The last date for submitting bids is January 11, said the statement.-TradeArabia News Service
