Project tenders cover road, sanitation and construction
$34m tenders awarded for major projects in Bahrain

A total of 23 tenders worth over BD13 million ($34.5 million) have been awarded by Bahrain’s Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry during the first quarter of the year.
The tenders cover projects related to roads, sanitation and construction, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Minister Essam Khalaf said in a statement yesterday the tenders, worth BD13.3 million ($35.3 million), would support rapid urban growth in Bahrain, improve services and encourage investment.
The tenders included four roads projects worth BD2 million ($5.3 million) and eight sanitation projects worth BD9.9 million ($25.3 million).
Nine projects worth BD1.2 million ($3.2 million) were awarded in the construction sector, plus two more projects worth BD135,245 ($358,800).
In addition, the statement said it had invited bids for 26 tenders worth BD18.3 million ($48.5 million). - TradeArabia News Service
