Abu Dhabi set for key global real estate expo

ABU DHABI, October 26, 2016

More than 125 exhibitors from 25 countries, as well as over 11,000 private and institutional investors and real estate brokers, will take part in the eighth edition of the International Real Estate & Investment Show (Ireis 2016) which opens on Thursday (October 27) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The event is expected to draw the participation of more than 125 exhibitors from 25 countries, as well as over 11,000 regular, private and institutional investors, end-users, developers, and real estate brokers,

The three-day event aims to spotlight the latest investment opportunities in the real estate sector across the Middle East, Europe and the Asia-Pacific regions.

As part of the agenda, the event will host a free-to-attend international conference at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) to highlight key global and regional real estate market trends as well as dual citizenship opportunities for investors through convening panelists and experts from leading real estate firms across the region.

The conference will open with a panel session titled ‘UAE Investors Looking At The World and Back Home’ chaired by David Godchaux, the chief executive of Core-Savills, UAE and headlined by Ahmet Kayhan, the founder and chief executive, Reidin, Anas Halabi, the associate director, Core-Savills, Naseer Aka, the head of real estate at Rasmalla and Fiona McClafferty, the senior manager at Deloitte LLP.

This will be followed by a panel discussion entitled Citizen by Investment (CBI) – Moderated by Sam Bayat, the chief executive of Bayat Legal Services, the panel will discuss various aspects of investing or buying property in exchange for citizenship or residency, commonly referred to as dual citizenship.

Providing expatriates aspiring for dual citizenship opportunities with considerations and options relevant to the current landscape, the session will be headlined by Armand Arton, the president, Arton Capital, Micha - Rose Emmet, the group managing director, CS Global Partners and Jean-Philippe Chetcuti, Group Managing Partner, Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates.

Antoine Georges, the managing director, Dome Exhibitions, organisers of IREIS 2016, said: "The International Real Estate & Investment Conference at IREIS 2016 is an interactive platform designed to engage and provide participants with an in-depth look into all relevant topics focused on real estate investment."

"The diversity of speaker profiles and their perspectives that will be presented in the conference make it a unique opportunity to track up-to-date market trends - especially for those keen on learning the benefi¬ts of visa-free travel and diverse second citizenship and residency options," he stated.

In addition to the pavilion highlighting overseas investor citizenship and migration programmes from different countries, the expo will also include dedicated country pavilions of Spain, and Pakistan.

The Spanish Pavilion will feature major developers from the country spotlighting an extensive range of high-end investment opportunities within bespoke and increasingly popular areas.

The show will also host the second Pakistan Property Exhibition highlighting key real estate investment opportunities in Pakistan and facilitate investments of UAE-based non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) in the bourgeoning real estate market in their home country, said the organisers.  

Furthermore, an intensive day of one-to-one meetings and informal networking sessions are being planned to showcase international property projects and facilitate partnerships between foreign property suppliers and local agents in the Middle East market.

IREIS 2016 will also include country-specific presentations, business networking opportunities and investor meetings, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
