ABU DHABI, January 21, 2018

Abu Dhabi City Municipality, has signed contracts worth Dh87 million ($24 million) for infrastructure development activities in the city, said a report.

These include agreement for construction and operation of recreational playgrounds for workers besides a sports complex in Musaffah region of Abu Dhabi and four service stations in the residential districts of Wathba, Rahba, Shahama and Falah, reported state news agency Wam.

The UAE capital's civic body has roped in Al Hail Holding Company to build and construct the sports complex along with three other playgrounds for workers in Musaffah, while Tristar Real Estate Company has been awarded the contract for setting up three service stations in the residential communities of Al Wathba, Al Rahba and Al Shahama.

Cornerstone Company will be building the service station at Al Falah residential community, stated the report.

These agreements constitute a commitment from both the government and private parties to the social responsibility and improving the quality of living for an important community segment such as workers, stated the report.

The initiative underscores the sense of social responsibility and the intention of the private sector to support the sweeping development drive in Abu Dhabi and standing side by side with the public entities in this regard, it added.
