UAE-based Azizi Developments said work is progressing at a steady pace on its Dh265-million ($72 million) Samia Azizi project, in Al Furjan, Dubai with the structure already completed and the mechanical and electrical installations progressing smoothly.

Finishing works in the units and preparations for façade and elevation works have also begun, said a statement from Azizi.

A key residential development, Samia Azizi is a 12-storey building with two podium levels and a basement. It will offer a total of 284 units, comprising 137 studios, 124 one- and 23 two-bedroom apartments, in addition to a retail space of 7,000 sq ft.

Samia Azizi residential apartments will also feature parking facilities, a swimming pool and a cutting-edge gymnasium.

On the new project, group chairman Mirwais Azizi said: "The UAE real estate market continues to be driven by competitive pricing, location and quality. We are seeing a surge in the demand for premier residential projects that offer a community lifestyle and a full range of facilities."

A new metro extension, Route 2020, will connect Al Furjan to prime areas like Dubai Investment Park, and will also eventually service the Al Maktoum International Airport, said the developer in a statement.

Azizi Developments pointed out that it had demonstrated a faster pace of developing projects across the city. Its projects include the Dh470-million Azizi Aliyah Residences in Dubai Healthcare City and the Dh780-million Mina by Azizi project on the Palm Jumeirah.-TradeArabia News Service
