Bahrain starts distribution of 5,000 new homes

MANAMA, December 20, 2018

Bahrain government has started the handing over of 5,000 residential units under the Al Ramli Housing Project to the eligible citizens. All the homes will be successfully distributed by the middle of next month, said a report.

The ministry move comes following the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, issued during the Government Forum held recently, reported BNA.

The Al Ramli Housing Project is part of a major government strategic scheme to provide 25,000 housing units within the Government Action Plan (GAP2015-2018), it stated.

Housing Minister Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer said the distributing process will continue until mid-January.

The project features 4,501 units and apartments on 100 hectares of land, nine gardens, two primary schools, one nursery school (KG), popular market, 11 shopping malls, a grand mosque and five smaller mosques, according to the ministry.

The project is expected to accommodate 30,000 residents, it added.
