Ideal Standard, a leading provider of innovative bathroom solutions, is launching a number of top-class product offerings, designed in partnership with top design studio Palomba Serafini Associati, at the Downtown Design 2019 expo in Dubai.  

One of the region’s leading design exhibitions, the Downtown Design 2019 kicks off on November 12 at the Dubai Design District and runs for the next three days.

The Ideal Standard products on display include a range of unique ceramics and fittings, as well as furniture and bathtubs, and in a bold move seeing a return to the use of colour to enhance modern interior projects.  

This collection comprises Ideal Standard’s new Conca series of basins which was originally designed for Ideal Standard by Master designer Paolo Tilche in 1972 and is complemented by two distinct series of mixers: the cylindrical Joy and the exceptionally flat basin mixer Check. Both add a different, unique character to the Conca basin.

A regional player with a major presence across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Ideal Standard has signed up as the official sponsor of the VIP Buyer’s Lounge at the expo.

The VIP Buyer’s Lounge will feature a line-up of talks and workshops from International experts, facilitating a smooth and productive experience, with a stable of additional benefits including access to exclusive events.

The company’s participation in the exhibition stems from its objectives to focus on innovation and design to make life better for customers.

A total of 10 new ceramic colours – including Black Gloss, Slate Grey, Kashmir, Sage and Pomegranate – join White Gloss and White Silk initial colour finished of Ipalyss vessels offering a complete palette that brings a sense of emotion to bathroom interiors.

Some colours hark back to historical Ideal Standard designs but with a contemporary, elegant finish, while others are entirely new and have been designed to complement popular modern materials, such as marble and stone, it stated.
