Bahrain is set to isssue an international tender for the multi-million-dinar Bahrain metro project in the next 18 months, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The estimated cost for Phase One of the ambitious project is around BD500 million to BD600 million ($1.32 billion to $1.58 billion), stated the report, citing the Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed.
