Wellpro seals partnership deal with Inflatable Packers

Wellpro Group, a global well intervention company with a major presence in the region has announced a collaborative agreement with Inflatable Packers International (IPI), a leading manufacturer of inflatable technology for the oil and gas industry.
The agreement enables the Aberdeen-headquartered thru tubing and well intervention provider to significantly enhance its existing portfolio and offer IPI’s best-in-class products along with operational design, technical support and field personnel to run and deploy the technology at the well site, said the Wellpro Group in a statement.
Founded in February 2018 by Jim Thomson (Group CEO) and Grant Forsyth, who between them have over 50 years’ experience in the thru tubing and well intervention industry across the world.
IPI is an Australian-based company specialising in the design and manufacture of inflatable packers and service equipment for the oil and gas, mining, geotechnical and water resources industries.
Jim Thomson said: "The new comprehensive service commencing initially from the Middle East, will allow us to offer a further product line to our business."
"It will also enable our customers to access a more complete well intervention package, including thru tubing and conventional inflates, thru tubing fishing, milling and complementary services from a single source. This will save them time and money," he stated.
Wellpro has grown significantly, establishing itself as a leading thru tubing provider in the Eastern Hemisphere, employing new members of staff in the Middle East and Asia, to bring the total headcount to around 30 across the world, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
