Etisalat to offer special broadband rates

Etisalat, UAE’s leading telecom services provider, has launched new broadband packages for the educational sector and non-profit organisations in order to provide them with affordable Internet access.

Etisalat will be providing a range of broadband packages with speeds up to 4 Mbps with substantial discounts to make broadband universally available for public & private schools, training institutes as well as government organisations and hospitals.

For the educational sector, Etisalat will be offering its BusinessOne package (limited and unlimited) with several value added services.

Etisalat will offer free installation and a free modem. In addition the monthly rentals will be at a 50 per cent discount. For the non-profit organisations, Etisalat will offer a 30 per cent discount on monthly rentals for its BusinessOne broadband package with access to several value added services.

With broadband becoming a vital element for economic development, these new packages from Etisalat will allow the educational sector to enhance the teaching and learning experience for students.

It will allow schools and training institutes to access a wider range of online resources and tools, and deliver programmes that are relevant and engaging for students. Non-profit organisations will also be benefited due to improved productivity and access to information through high-speed broadband.

“Access to affordable high speed broadband is vital for countries to remain economically and socially viable,” said Abdulla Hashim, senior VP, business solutions, Etisalat.

“These latest offers will provide a great incentive for the educational and non profit sector to use broadband extensively and is part of Etisalat’s overall objective to make UAE one of the most connected countries globally.”

The BusinessOne package from Etisalat provides multiple personalized email accounts, high speed Internet access, secure connectivity and a web presence. Customers also have the added advantage of getting their own domain name with the website being hosted by Etisalat.

The ease of installation is also a key benefit enabling schools and non-profit organisations to implement BusinessOne very quickly without having to depend on any external IT resource thereby reducing their operating expenditure.
