Institute sets up new Dubai office

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has opened its door to the Middle East with the launch of its new office at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Jassim Abdulaal has been selected to be the representative for Bahrain.

He is the managing partner of Grant Thornton-Abdulaal Gulf Audit, a member firm of Grant Thornton International. Grant Thornton is the fifth largest auditing and accounting firms in the world.

ICAEW regional office in Dubai is aimed at offering support and advice to the region and promote the accountancy profession. It will enhance the region's ability to work closely with stakeholders in this area and providing the best support to its member and student of the region, including helping to increase the number of affiliates of the body.-TradeArabia News Service
