Jordan drive offers networking for women

Amman, February 21, 2011

SitatByoot, a local initiative that aims to promote the entrepreneurial empowerment of Jordanian women working from home, is offering networking opportunities in order to help market exclusive products on an international level.

Saeed Omar, founder of SitatByoot, said: “This initiative was developed specifically to promote the entrepreneurial capacity of women in Jordan by providing them with the opportunity to achieve self-sufficiency and ignite a successful business through marketing and networking opportunities, comprehensive logistics services that will ensure a higher income, as well as various workshops and seminars.”

To partake in the SitatByoot network, women must purchase SitatByoot certified products at a minimum value of JD25 ($35.20) to automatically receive a SitatByoot membership card, a statement said.

Each member must then use her card to encourage three more women to purchase the products. At this point, every participant receives a 6 per cent profit for every product she sells at a 15 per cent discount.

Each of the three new network members will then form communities made up of nine members, each selling to three new members to form a community of 27 members.

All 39 members will receive a 6 per cent profit, whereas the community leader will receive a 12 per cent profit at the first level, 9 per cent at the second level at 6 per cent at the third level, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
