Quality training for Al Asmak managers
Doha, July 18, 2011
A quality management system (QMS) awareness training programme was organised for managers and selected professionals from Al Asmak, a leading real estate marketing and property management company in Qatar.
The programme was conducted by InfoVision Consultants, led by Mobin Sheikh, director / principal consultant.
The programme comprehensively covered the requirements for ISO 9001 guidelines and interpretations.
Khalid Yassin, senior development manager, while addressing the delegates during the ice-breaking session said: “When the global crisis of 2009 hit the real estate industry on a worldwide scale it was high time for real estate companies to wake up. Suddenly the ‘buzz words’ in the market were ‘sustainability’ and loss prevention.”
He further added: “Al Asmak is one of the top three contenders in the real estate business in Qatar and aims to strengthen its corporate structure. It is for this purpose that we decided to implement ISO 9001:2008.”
“Infovision was chosen because of its extensive experience in the Middle East region with its flagship brand RealPro ERP, which has been providing ERP solutions to real estate development, marketing and management companies since the last 15 years. We are confident in our selection and sure that our mutual cooperation will be fruitful,” said Sree Kumar, the finance director at Regency Group Holding. Al Asmak is a unit of Regency Group Holding.
Mubarak Taj, the group internal auditor, said: “Predictability of systems and measurement protocols need to be in place for any organization to survive and turn threats into opportunities. We’re thankful to Infovision which is playing a crucial role in guiding us towards the right direction. We’re hopeful that with Infovision’s support we will be able to adopt the guidance and philosophy of ISO 9001:2008 quality management systems in letter and spirit.” -TradeArabia News Service
