Viva Bahrain wins top award for training programme

Viva Bahrain has won the ‘National Society for Support of Education and Training’ (NSSET) award for its Graduate Development Program (GDP) aimed at nurturing young Bahraini talent.
 
The first edition of the programme, which was executed over a 12-month span, was completed offering the first generation of talented graduates a career opportunity in Viva based on their performance, said a statement.
 
It involved professional and technical training to young graduates through intensive on-the-job training in various sectors of the company including human resources, technology, finance, corporate social responsibility and commercial.
 
Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, CEO, said: "The aim of this programme is to build a strong local workforce and develop young professional leaders through intensive and best in class professional and technical training.
 
“Today, we are proud to announce that the first generation of professionals has been offered a rewarding career in Viva and the success and sustainability of the Graduate Development Program has been recognised by winning another award.”
