Zak, Microsoft showcase education technology in Kuwait

KUWAIT, December 8, 2014

Zak Solutions, a leader in e-learning projects and a strategic advisor to the education sector in Kuwait, joined Microsoft Kuwait, in showcasing solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance and use of technology  at a conference in Kuwait.

The solutions, which were showcase at the annual Kuwait Edutech Conference and Exhibition 2014, aim to create effective environments in the classroom to drive digital literacy.

Ashraf Fathy AbulKhair, vice chairman and managing director of ZAK Solutions, said: “We have always backed the government’s efforts in developing educational systems and curricula, with a view to contributing towards socio-economic development and accelerating the evolution of a knowledge-based society.

“Together with Microsoft, we aim to empower youth across the country through technology that will prepare them to be competitive in today’s global economy.”

“Over the years, ZAK Solutions and Microsoft have contributed significantly to the ways in which students use technology in the classroom,” said AbulKhair.

“We have worked with the Ministry of Education on a Datacentre for both teachers and students, and have also built the core infrastructure for connecting and managing the schools run by the MOE. We have also transformed the modern learning model through innovative use of cloud solutions”, he added.
