ADSM forges partnership with UK’s Imperial school

ABU DHABI, May 14, 2015

The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Chamber,  an educational institution dedicated to developing the UAE’s future entrepreneurial leaders, has signed a deal with Imperial College Business School, part of Imperial College London, a leading university for science, technology, engineering and medicine.

Under the terms of the partnership, Imperial will strengthen its existing role as a mentor to the ADSM, provide guidance on academic research and support ADSM’s teaching and academic quality review services, said a statement.

The two organisations are also exploring the possibility of student and faculty exchanges in future, it said.

As one of the world’s leading business schools, Imperial ranked third in Europe and 10th in the world in the 2013 World University Rankings.

The partnership with Imperial will, therefore, provide ADSM with access to some of the best business and entrepreneurship resources, practices and expertise currently available.

The partnership was officially sealed during a signing ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of H.E. Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Prof. G. ‘Anand’ Anandalingam, Dean of Imperial College Business School; and Prof. Abdullah Abonamah, President of the Abu Dhabi School of Management.

Mohamed Helal Al Muhairi, director general of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “We are very excited over the numerous possibilities the partnership with Imperial College Business School opens up.

“Imperial’s global expertise combined with ADSM’s local knowledge will groom a new generation of leaders capable of effectively addressing challenges and formulating innovative solutions amidst a rapidly evolving global business landscape.”

Prof Abdullah Abonamah, president of ADSM, said: “Imperial College Business School is one of only 57 business schools in the world to have achieved triple accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the Association of MBAs, and the European Quality Improvement System.

“The information, knowledge and skills it will share will definitely be of great help in our school’s ability to fulfill its promise of world-class business and entrepreneurial education.”

Prof G ‘Anand’ Anandalingam, dean of Imperial College Business School, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Abu Dhabi School of Management.

“This relationship allows us to continue sharing our unique approach to business education, technology and entrepreneurship with new audiences in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, while benefitting from ADSM’s valuable local and regional business insights.” - TradeArabia News Service
