Abu Dhabi to start work on new girls' school

ABU DHABI, October 16, 2016

Work on the Shakhbout Girls School project, to be developed on a 50,192-sq-m area in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will start early next month and is due for completion by mid-2018, said a report.

The three-storey building with a total built-up area of 22,716 sq m is being built by Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) at a cost of Dh129 million ($35 million), stated Emirati news agency Wam.

Musanada said the Shakhbout Girls School project marks the conclusion of Phase Four of the Future School construction initiative in the emirate.


The school will feature 70 classrooms that can accommodate 2,100 C2 and C3 female students and also house laboratories, sports hall, library, multi-purpose hall, swimming pool and cafeteria besides the administrative offices, as well as playgrounds, car parking and landscaped areas.
