Daman launches online health platform

The National Insurance Company – Daman has announced the launch of Daman Customer Club, its innovative online health engagement platform for members.
As the first and only service of its kind offered in the region by a health insurance company, the platform will be available to Daman’s 2.1 million members and is accessible by entering insurance card details.
Daman Customer Club enables its members to secure a range of healthy living inspired benefits, including discount privileges, health and wellbeing related tips from the company’s partners and access to special events and activities. These benefits will continue to be built on over the coming months.
“The conception of Daman’s Customer Club marks a new phase in the development of our customer service offering, which is now among the most comprehensive, not just in the UAE, but in the region,” said Dr Michael Bitzer, chief executive officer of Daman.
The key feature of Daman’s Customer Club is ActiveLife - a health and wellness lifestyle programme that aims to foster healthy living habits; it offers discounts and special services from Daman’s retail partners, covering a range of products and services.
Currently, ActiveLife supports over 40 brands across eight categories including health, wellness and general lifestyle interests.
The club’s website also includes an interactive feedback section, where members can suggest services and products to be made available in the future. Through ActiveLife, Daman will organize community activities to raise awareness about diseases resulting from unhealthy lifestyles, and promote ways in which to prevent them.
Dr Sven Rohte, chief commercial officer of Daman, said: “In conceptualizing Daman’s Customer Club initiative, we assessed all aspects of the customer experience at Daman to develop a customer engagement mechanism that will truly add value to our members’ lives.”

Plans are also underway for a dedicated forum to discuss health and wellness issues which will be launched in the near future and will be open to both members and non-members alike.
