Wetex draws huge support

Dubai, April 8, 2014

The Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (Wetex) 2014, to be held later this month, has attracted 16 strategic sponsors, 10 platinum sponsors and 32 gold sponsors.

The exhibition is being held under the directive of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Dewa President, from April 14 – 16 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dewa is the main organising body of Wetex.

“We thank all Strategic, Platinum, Gold Sponsors, supporting associations and exhibitors for their strong support. We are proud to say that Wetex has succeeded beyond expectations, as it enters its 16th edition,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and managing director and CEO of Dewa.

Al Tayer explained that Dewa follows performance indicators to measure the success and growth of the exhibition, according to which Wetex has recorded significant quantitative and qualitative development since its inception in 1999.

“The exhibition attracts a galaxy of prominent regional and international pioneers in electricity, water, environment and oil and gas, which regard it as a platform to expand their business in the region,” added Al Tayer.

Dewa plans to launch the first ‘Green Week’ to coincide with Wetex as an annual event that will include a series of community events targeting all segments of society, including children and students.  - TradeArabia News Service
