Mediclinic announces Abu Dhabi foray

Abu Dhabi, June 9, 2014

Mediclinic Middle East, one of the largest private healthcare groups in the UAE, has announced the opening of its first facility in Abu Dhabi at the World Trade Center Mall.

Conveniently located in the heart of the UAE capital, Mediclinic Corniche offers a wide range of primary healthcare services including  GP and Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Dentistry, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Physiotherapy and Dermatology, said a statement from the healthcare group.

Mediclinic Corniche represents the first move into Abu Dhabi for the Dubai-based private healthcare company with two hospitals and eight clinics in the emirate, it added.

CEO David Hadley said:: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our first medical facility in Abu Dhabi, Mediclinic Corniche. After establishing a reputation in Dubai for providing an international standard of healthcare, we are happy to be extending our services into Abu Dhabi."

"Abu Dhabi is an extremely important market for us and we look forward to launching more facilities here in the future, the next of which will be in the Wahat Hilih Mall, Al Ain, which will also open before the end of the year," he added.

Commenting on the launch, Talal Al Dhiyebi, the executive director of Asset Management said: "We are delighted to welcome Mediclinic to the World Trade Centre Mall. This facility will serve as an important addition to the current retail and leisure offering, representing the first clinic located inside a mall in the capital."
