June 'hotter than normal' in Bahrain

June was hotter than normal in Bahrain with an average temperature of 34.3C, according to the meteorology department.
 
It was 1.9C above the long-term normal, making it the seventh highest average monthly temperature for June since 1902, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
 
Average maximum temperature for the month was 38.3C, which goes on record as the eighth highest average maximum temperature for June since 1946.
 
The highest temperature recorded was 43.2C on June 11, due to the warm north-westerly winds. - TradeArabia News Service
